This policy explains what Pateman & Sons Dumpster Rentals Pittsfield does with personal information collected through pittsfielddumpsterrental.com and when you contact us. It was last updated in September 2026.

Information we collect

We are a call-only business, so most of the information we hold is what you tell us on the phone: your name, phone number, the delivery address and a description of the job. We keep that to schedule the delivery, invoice correctly and answer questions afterwards.

This website collects standard technical information automatically — IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page and timestamps — through server logs and analytics. A chat widget provided by a third party is embedded on the site; if you use it, the conversation is processed by that provider under their own terms.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them for basic site functionality and to understand which pages people find useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may behave differently.

How we use information

  • To quote, schedule, deliver and collect containers
  • To invoice and keep proper business records
  • To answer questions and resolve problems
  • To meet legal, tax and environmental record-keeping obligations
  • To improve the website and the information on it

Sharing

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only where necessary to run the business — with disposal and recycling facilities where a manifest requires it, with payment processors, with our accountant, and where the law requires disclosure.

Retention and security

Job and invoice records are kept as long as tax and business law requires, then deleted. Massachusetts's data security regulation, 201 CMR 17.00, requires any business holding personal information about Massachusetts residents to maintain a written information security program, and we take that obligation seriously — reasonable technical and organizational steps are in place to protect information, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Your privacy choices

Massachusetts does not currently have a broad, CCPA-style comprehensive consumer privacy law giving residents a general statewide right to access, correct, delete or opt out of the sale of their personal information. (A Massachusetts Data Privacy Act has passed the House and Senate in different forms and was in conference committee reconciliation as of this update, but had not been enacted.) What Massachusetts does have in force are targeted data-security and breach laws: the data security regulation noted above (201 CMR 17.00); the state's breach notification law (M.G.L. c. 93H), which requires prompt notice to affected residents and the Attorney General if personal information is compromised; a records-disposal law (M.G.L. c. 93I) governing how personal information must be destroyed; and the state's general consumer protection law (M.G.L. c. 93A). None of these hands you a standalone statutory right to demand a copy of, correct, or delete the limited information we hold about you — but we extend that as a practical courtesy to every visitor anyway. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as described above, so there is nothing to opt out of by default. Contact us using the details below to make a request. This paragraph is general information, not legal advice, and is not a complete statement of Massachusetts privacy or data-security law.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Third-party links

We link to city, town and state websites and other authoritative sources because they are useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
